Log in for members of The Lavish Project 2022
The Lavish Project is an intensive workshop and performance opportunity where dancers participate in and attend to the creative process as practiced by Audra Simmons in her solo work, as well as her work for Lavish Dance Company.

In 2022, for its 4th iteration, The Lavish Project will be a two part, online project culminating in an online show of screen dance. Though the project ends in a show, the goal of The Lavish project is also to facilitate, share in and explore the process of creation.
Dancers will begin with discussion, research and presentation of material stemming from video and articles as we explore, investigate the concept of what is to be “Inspired By”. From the material generated, we’ll create meaningful and personal movement with the goal of producing solo improvised or choreographed work.
Two group pieces will also be created by Audra and Lavish member Angela Josephine. Participants will learn several phrases (through live and recorded tutorials), and be asked to record and submit footage for these pieces.
The second portion of The Lavish Project is participation in the 5 week Editing: Beyond the Basics course. This course will enhance their current editing skills so they can apply them as they record and edit their work from part one of the project.
